Integrating the Baroque wall

The majority of the historic fabric of the 1730s building was destroyed following the Second World War.

Working with archaeologists, we discovered that the brick wall forming a boundary to the street was a remnant of the original baroque external wall construction. We developed a design detail ensuring the original fabric wasn’t disturbed and didn’t bear the weight of the new construction. A time capsule was added into the wall cavity during a ceremony lead by the Pastor.
