Using timber for both structure and finish

The bold materials palette for WorkStack, our industrial workspace project which is currently on site in Charlton, London.

Clockwise from the top we have:

Black rainscreen cladding, made from sinusoidal steel that has been levelled and polished.

Red external and internal doors, painted RAL 2002.

Internal WC doors painted RAL 2000.

Rubber tile flooring – a 4mm rubber tile which will be fixed onto a plywood substrate and finished with aluminium trims at the connection to the wall – this nice and durable material has been chosen to serve the light industrial function of the workspaces.

Polycarbonate curtain walling with tongue and groove coupling which will be applied to the western façade.

WorkStack is our response to the need for high quality workspace on compact sites. By stacking the units, the footprint of the building is significantly reduced whilst lettable area is maximised.
