Project Architect / Architectural Designer with Retail Experience
We are looking for an energetic Project Architect / Architectural Designer to run a large scale retail and supermarket project independently with one to two years’ experience in this role.
Deadline: open/ongoing but we encourage early applications
You will manage the workload of a project team, oversee team members, and engage with project-running duties. Responsibilities will include coordinating design team actions; running design team meetings; liaising with clients and statutory authorities, and developing architectural solutions from concept to technical design and construction stages.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be well organised and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently. You will be energetic, enthusiastic and self motivated, with an eye for detail as well as the big picture. You will be able to develop and maintain excellent relationships and dialogue with colleagues and collaborators at all levels, including our Directors, management team, Architects and the other departments in the practice.
Fluency in MS Office suite, Adobe CS and Revit is a minimum requirement; knowledge of Rhino, SketchUp, Vectorworks, Autocad and rendering software is advantageous.
We have a relaxed and sociable studio atmosphere, and all team members play a full and active role within it, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility within the practice and in extracurricular events and activities.

Working pattern: this position is envisioned as a full-time role. We offer up to 2 days of homeworking per week, with core working hours to allow flexible start and finish times.
