Anu ShemarArch Assistant
MEng + RIBA Part 1
Anu is an Architectural Assistant at dRMM, who graduated with a first-class honours integrated masters in Structural Engineering and Architecture, from the University of Sheffield. During this time she was awarded the Departmental Prize for Outstanding Achievement and the West Yorkshire Society of Architects Prize. Anu actively participates in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee at Sheffield School of Architecture. She has taken part in recording a podcast series and has helped to deliver architectural talks at the school – as a result she was awarded the Sheffield School of Architecture Centenary Prize. This experience has led her to join the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion group at dRMM.
At dRMM Anu is assisting a number of mixed-use and residential projects, one of which is located in Birmingham, her home city. Her passions align with sustainable methods of structural engineering, community engagement and outreach within architecture and STEM, this formed the topic of her University dissertation, which is due to be published for an online peer-reviewed journal. Outside of the studio, Anu enjoys sewing, weightlifting, cycling and free-hand sketching.
