Mathilde is an Architectural Assistant at dRMM Berlin. Her interests include reinvention and retrofit projects, timber construction, and the development of typologies which can adapt to the needs of a diverse society. During the design process Mathilde focuses on setting the project to a human scale creating a strong connection between the body, space, light, and nature. She is keen to use effective design methodologies and to push projects to their most sustainable state by using appropriate site-specific materials.

At dRMM, Mathilde is working on Rote Kaserne in Potsdam; a student housing complex which combines a school, communal spaces and a youth club.

Prior to joining dRMM, Mathilde completed her M.Arch in Lille and Cottbus, she then moved to Berlin to work for LIN Architects on a range of mixed-use projects based in France, Belgium and Germany. Her love of languages has resulted in her commitment to attending intensive German courses focusing on architectural vocabulary. Furthermore, she has practised her different languages by working in different areas of emergency aid, such as Covid-19 vaccination centres and a Ukrainian refugee centre in Berlin.

Out of the office Mathilde can be found near a record player, always ready to listen to a good tune.
