dRMM presented the Charlton WorkStack Evaluation report to an audience at the NLA last week. We were joined by the Greater London Authority and Greenwich Enterprise Board to speak about how WorkStack is faring two years on.

There were some great questions from a very engaged audience, and in the chats afterwards it was clear that there are many people passionate about finding solutions to keep light industrial workspace in the capital.

The discussions covered how the tenants find operating in a stacked typology, the effects of Good Growth funding, how the GEB landlord model supports businesses and how this project came together commercially, as well as how we overcame technical challenges posed by building in CLT.

Is WorkStack scalable, and can stacked industrial workspace find it’s place in the UK and beyond? We as a practice continue to explore this, and will keep everyone updated on our progress.
