Wintringham Primary Academy scoops RIBA Regional Awards

We are delighted to announce that Wintringham Primary Academy has scooped a Regional Award and the Sustainability Prize in the 2022 RIBA East Regional Awards.

The RIBA East jury panel recognised the building for its collaborative approach gained by working in partnership with the school’s Executive Head, Tracy Bryden and contractor Morgan Sindall to achieve a building that rises above constraints. They also recognised the way the design demonstrates real imagination in maximising the utility of the space, it’s use of natural materials and it’s efficient cross-laminated timber structure.

Wintringham Primary Academy achieves the Sustainability Prize as the best performer for whole-life carbon considerations and the way it has exceeded the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge for embodied carbon for new build schools.

Wintringham will go on to be nominated for a RIBA National Award. We are looking forward to seeing how it fairs at this next stage.
