Kat Scott appointed Sustainability and Regenerative Design Manager

dRMM is delighted to announce the appointment of Kat Scott to the position of Sustainability and Regenerative Design Manager.

Kat joined dRMM in 2017. During her tenure with the studio, she has dedicated an ever-growing proportion of her time to the studio’s strategy for sustainability and regenerative design, feeding into Architects Declare; of which she is a Steering Group member; LETI (London Energy Transformation Initiative), where she leads the Circular Economy workstream; and ACAN (Architects Climate Action Network), where she is a coordinator.

In her role at LETI, Kat has been contributing to guidance including the LETI Embodied Carbon Primer

This year, Kat will be representing dRMM as part of the UKGBC’s Whole Life Carbon Roadmap Task Group and is also sharing her knowledge of best practice for sustainable design through her role as a Design Review Panel Member with Design South East.

In her new role, Kat will continue to develop and implement sustainability and regenerative strategies in the studio and manage the wider dRMM Sustainability and Regenerative design group. She will be giving support on our projects, will be continuing to run our Sustainability Reviews, and is developing in-house guidance and training to improve our design process in line with our Architects Declare and RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge commitments.

dRMM Director Saskia Lencer said:

‘We are delighted to give Kat this much-deserved promotion in recognition of her tireless work to further the sustainability agenda both in the studio and across the industry. Creating sustainable places and nurturing staff and creating opportunities for career progression are a huge part of the dRMM studio culture and we can’t wait to see Kat grow in her new role.
