Neues Schleiermacherhaus in Berlin’s Architecture Day

Neues Schleiermacherhaus in Berlin’s Architecture Day

dRMM Studio Berlin are taking part in this June’s Architecture Day, an annual event run by the German Chamber of Architects. Simply (re)build is the 2024 theme of the weekend festival which opens projects and practices all over Germany to members of the public.

The Neues Schleiermacherhaus project in central Berlin is the reinstating of a building destroyed following the Second World War for the church who has owned the site for over 300 years. Providing flexible space for cultural and office use and using predominately engineered timber to recreate the 1730s building, the project is due to complete later this year.

You can join one of two tours running on Saturday 29 June at 13.00 and 14.00. Led by Studio Lead Tonia Tkachenko, and Architect Findlay McFarlane, the tours will be available in both German and English. More details here, and you can book your place by emailing mailberlin@drmmstudio.com
