Tonia leads dRMM Studio Berlin, having moved there after working at the London Studio since 2014. Besides managing day-to-day operations, teams, and project delivery, she plays a crucial role in expanding dRMM’s international presence.

Her diverse and extensive project experience contributes to dRMM´s broader mission of creating inclusive, sustainable and innovative places.  While in the UK, Tonia gained valuable experience on various residential and commercial projects, including 51-54 Fenchurch Street, retrofit of East Ham Old Fire Station and design of the residential tower at Brill Place. Her leadership on dRMM’s Eddington Hotel project shaped the studio’s approach to hospitality design, where flexibility is balanced with longevity. Tonia oversaw the project’s operations and played a key role in engaging with multiple stakeholders. She was Associate on Phase 1 of Tustin Estate, leading a large team of consultants and collaborators, and working closely with residents to develop the designs to planning stage.

In Berlin, she is leading the Potsdam Rote Kaserne Project, which provides student homes, a youth centre, and micro-apartments in an efficient modular timber construction. Tonia has also been applying her hospitality knowledge to the design of a wellness hotel on Portugal´s Atlantic coast.

Before joining dRMM, Tonia worked at Adjaye Associates in New York. She earned her Masters in Architecture from the Bartlett, UCL, and completed her Part III at Westminster University. Outside her work, she enjoys exploring Berlin by bike and taking dips in its numerous lakes.
